ISSUES:domestic violence
I will discuss the options for pregnant moms and organizations that are here to help. I would like to visit a canceller from Planned Parenthood. I would like an inside look at what it is like to be a teen mom and I will gain this by interviewing a teen mom. I would like to take a positive approach on the subject and hopefully have my project inspire teen moms to not give up and gather recourses from my findings.
.This is part of chapter 5 where we have to find a photo and analyze it. Here we have a woman standing with a black eye and burses on her lips neck. This was found on a website fighting domestic violence. The girl appears to have just been assaulted and is standing there taking pictures for proof of her injuries. The look of hurt is written all over her face. One could all most feel the terror she want through by looking into her scared eyes.

“What do you think Rainy, should I keep it?” (Serrano) . Wow. What do I say now I thought? When I met Sarah for lunch on Friday, I was not sure on how the interview would go. I was very happy that this young 16 year old was willing to participate in my class assignment and disclose some very private information. Sarah is in her first trimester of pregnancy and is very confused on what to do. I could clearly see that this 7th grade dropout was facing a very big life changing event that I was not too sure that she could do. Well at least not alone. I asked Sarah about her feelings on having the baby and becoming a mom at such a young age and she said to me,” well to be honest, I have been trying since I was only 14 to have a baby with my boyfriend who is 28 years old.” I tried to not look too shocked and I just nodded so she would go on. After hearing her sad story about 2 Miss- Carriages, and her need to love and be loved, I reached over and hugged Sarah. Her tears were streaming down her cheeks as she told me that she was extremely scared. This young girl has no money, no home, no issuance, and her much older boyfriend was unemployed. I truly did not know if it was my place to jump in and start giving recourses to Sarah. The only thing I felt that I could do was give her some hope when all else seems hopeless. I gave her a book from my church and asked if it was ok for me to send over some missionaries to talk with her and help her find comfort in her situation and I also gave her the phone number to mesa community college so she could get her GED. I feel that if there was a way that this young soon to be mom could find some small solutions on bettering her life then she would feel empowered to make the right decision for her situation. This interview was a very sobering event for me. I was raised a more sheltered life than Sarah was. Her life was filled with gangs, street drugs, not going to school, poverty, and abuse. It seemed that Sarah was trying to fill a major void in her life by the assumption of,” having a baby means that I will have someone to love me unconditionally and I have never had that.” How many other young moms feel this way? What can I do to help get the message out to theses young moms that having a child is not the only way to feel loved? I will start here with Project Hope.
Planned Parenthood interview on Monday at 1:15 pm in Scottsdale. I will gather more information for my project with statistics and other useful information.

Photo Real or Fake??
11/12/2011
I chose this photo because I could not clearly see the truth behind the picture until I researched it. Thanks to TMZ, I received evidence that this photo is indeed enhanced and audiences felt that this glamorized violence against woman. The Photographer was confronted on the findings of this, he decided to auction off the photo and give the proceeds to victims of domestic violence.(htp://www.TMZ./glee.COM). below is also a photo of a star that has been a victim of domestic violence. When I began my analysis and found my first photo, I thought this was a clear sign of phot tampering or a great make-up job, but, now that i see the photo which i chose weeks ago on my issue (please excuse the finger), i can see this is also make up and photo tampering.
It seems ironic ... but the brutal photo of "Glee" star Heather Morris sporting a fake black eye will be auctioned off soon ... and all of the proceeds will go towards a domestic violence charity ... TMZ has learned.
The photo ignited a major controversy when it was released on the Internet a few days ago -- with some critics saying it glamorizes violence against women.
But Tyler Shields, the photog behind the shot, tells us that was NOT the intention -- and he's sorry it came off that way.
Shields says ... to make up for the controversy, he'll be auctioning off the photo, starting at $100k, and will donate every single cent he makes to a top domestic violence charity.
Forgiven??
